Lolita90, I am in the process of looking to get a decent carbon laid back seatpost as the saddle is as far back as the 3T post will allow...

Lolita, I was asking about the spacers UNDER your headset top cap and between your headtube (about a 3mm stack?). I am still curious what this part is. Mostly, just wondering what your top bearing is seated on given that the space between top of headtube and bottom of headset top cap is usually only about 1mm.

    Thanks,

    EM3

    Lolita90:

     Eddymerckx,

It's just 2 carbon spacers for handelbar height adjustement .

I profited to remove one when I swap the handelbars.

    dual:

You had speed wobbles? That's hard to believe (not that i don't believe you though) given the very stiff frontend of that frame. Maybe a loose headet? Anyway, i take it that the fork is slightly more rigid than the Funda. Thanks.

dual, i hear you, i could not believe it! yeah, bad. can tell you i have been on road bikes for 20 years and never had that. it was not my descending style, headset was perfect, different wheels made no difference, other riders on the bike experienced the same thing. same descents i have been doing for years on canny's and tarmac's, never a speed wobble from my style. love descending at speed and we often hit 90kph. never had a fear until this bike. anyways, bike was checked by 2 excellent shops here in town, same results. even had the 3T re-installed. same speed wobble. swapped the fork and bingo, nothing, zero. perfect, predictable handling. who knows though, just my experience! i am just glad it got sorted.

i would say slightly more vertically compliant, but absolutely not harsh in the least or uncomfortable. i would recommend the fork without question.

    Thanks, zoomzoom.

I'm on a R3 SL myself and am considering swapping the 3T Funda for a Edge 1.0, 'cause i don't like the 3T too much. It's not very stiff side to side, but rather uncomfy imo. Doesn't suit the compliant rear of the R3. I've heard nothing but good things about Edge forks. If they only weren't so pricey...
