I am in the process of buying a new P3.  I have found 08 and 09 frames.  Is there any difference accross the model years or is the change only cosmetic and I should buy the color I like best?

 Please advise.

I am pretty sure its just colours. My advise is get the best value frame and put the money in to the wheels, aerobars etc - these date far slower than frame colours which chage every year and are alawys going of date in less tha 12 months! A difference with an 08 & 09 maybe the fork - best to get the 3T rather than the earlier model.

The 3T is the new fork?  Was it available in 2009?

Yes its standard for all 2009. The earlier version is anaked carbon design by Wolf I think.

Because i owned 'one P3 a year' from those years :-) i know for sure the design is identical, only colors are different. Some shops sold earlier year models with WOLF Forks and newer models with 3T forks. There is not much noticeable  difference between them.

 

So choose the one YOU like and have a good ride on your new bike.

The 2010 P3 does not use the 3T fork, like the 2009 and 2008 versions.  The 2009 P3 uses the Cervelo fork developed for the P4.  The price was decreased for the 2010 P3. 

Why the price decrease on the 2010 P3?  Are there any other changes to the build?
