    R2.5 Upgrade

I have an R2.5 that was not part of the recall. I know the recall was issued years ago, but I still worry about the safety of my frame.

Does Cervelo have any kind of an upgrade program if I trade in my old frame?

I too have an r2.5 that was not part of the recall and am delighted that it was not part of the recall. I have not the slightest hesitation in riding it and love it, further more I prefer riding it to my S2.

If you don't enjoy riding it any more or want a new bike just go buy one, but as for replacing a frame that was outside of a recall 4 years ago, I can't see why CErvelo would or should do so.

There's no trade in program. If your frame qualifies for a warranty replacement, you can often cut a deal with your LBS/distributor to put your warranty replacement value towards a new (different) Cervelo frame. But that's not applicable to the position you're in.

If you want rid of it, used Cervélo frames fetch a decent price on eBay, especially the rarer models like the R2.5.

What size is it? Interested in selling?
