Is this a good deal for a Cervelo S1? I need help....

I just found a 2007 Cervelo S1 listed online and I need some advice as to whether this is a good deal or not. It's listed as a "2007 Cervelo S1 Special Edition"... the paint scheme is different from any of the other Cervelo S1's I can find online. The guy says it's a 2007 model that was bought new in 2009, and he's only put about 300 miles on it. It comes with Look pedals and a Cateye wireless computer for $1000. My previous bike was a Cannondale CAAD 9, which I sold because I wasn't riding enough to justify keeping it. Since then I've torn my knee up and can't run anymore, so I'm looking to get back into riding. I was looking to purchase a full carbon bike, but I'm thinking it may be better to spend less money while I'm getting back into the sport and I can always upgrade later. Any advice on whether this is a good deal or not would be greatly appreciated. I can't figure out how to load a pic, but the bike looks just like this one: http://members.cox.net/vincekidd/cervelo.JPG

If it fits, it's a very good deal. I'd take it.

Yeah I went to the local Cervelo dealer bike shop and made sure that the frame was the right size, so I'm sure it will fit.

I believe the 2007 soloist was anodized grey, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

rharell15, I believe that's a 2006 special edition colour. For $1000 as a full bike, it seems OK if it's Ultegra and all as tidy as described.

Mikesjo, during the years when anodised (black/grey) was available, Cervelo also offered painted alternatives.

jacobyte, good to know, looks like they offered more variety back then.

What a great looking bike. If it was a 51cm and I was in Canada I'd buy it :-)

That is a limited edition SLT. Cervelo offered these on a limited basis in 2005 & 2006 if I remember the years correctly. I think that's a great deal for $1000.

Thanks guys. I agreed to pay $1100 for the Cervelo S1, Look pedals, wireless computer, aero bars, and a seat pack. I'm hoping that's a pretty good deal, seems how the bike was bought new in early 2009 from a local bike shop and was only ridden about 300 miles. I've also been to a Cervelo dealer and gotten sized so I'm sure the size will fit. I'll meet up with the guy to buy the bike Monday, so wish me luck! Thanks again.

Looks nice ... technically, there was never a 2007 S1. The frame of what is the S1 was known as the "Soloist Team" or ST back then. S1 designated started in 2009 model year.
