    Aerobars for S1?

Going to add some aerobars for Tris but I was just wondering what aero bars would fit the ergo handlebars? I'm after something cheap and basic.

This is what I'm looking at getting but I'm just worried it won't fit on the funny handlebar shape:

Anyone have experience with these or similar products? Thanks

Since aerobars fit right beside the stem's clamping point, so as long as that section of the bar is round and not some weird squished "ergo" shape, it's fine. Profile T2's fit fine on the stock alloy 3T Ergonovas that come with the S1.

Check the diameter of your handle bar at the stem. You have to make sure that the aerobar will fit (i.e. made for 26mm and/or 31.8mm diameter). Make sure that the length fits properly with your fore arm length. If you will be using the bike for races under UCI rules, then make sure that the bar is compliant.

Other than these, its up to how much you want to spend (i.e. generally price goes up as weight goes down) and whether carbon or alloy.

I was using a Syntace C2 clip on my Soloist (aka S1), but now have a P2C for TT, equiped with ZIPP Vuka.

Profile T2 DLs are great little bars, and the best clip-ons available if you're in draft-legal races. If you're not draft-legal, I suggest the new T-Mag, it's a lot lighter and has a nicer bracket, and the extensions are longer so you can get a better position.

Are there many draft-legal races outside the ITU World Cup circuit? I would imagine there would have to be some minimal requirements for triathletes  wishing to participate, like Cat V or IV equivalent experience, minimum. Putting newbies (even riders who may be good time trialists)  who have never raced competitively into a pack of serious racers would be a disaster waiting to happen ....
