    S1 Stolen

My new (1 month old) 2009 S1 was stolen last night.  Other than filing a police report, and scouring craigslist and ebay, does anyone know if there is a database or some other service where I can upload information about the bike that may assist in my getting it back?  I'm not holding out any hope for finding it, but just want to make sure I do everything that would possibly help me get it back.  Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

nolatx, Sorry to hear your bad news....... I can't type on here what I think should be done to the scum that took your bike.

If anyone takes my Soloist, I'd want to severely injure them.

Damn, that su5ks! How did it happen? Daytime? Was it locked? Friend's TREK got pinched as she went popped into a shop for 2mins during broad daylight back in the summer. When she stepped out, some dude was already riding it away.

Did you register the SERIAL NUMBER of your bike? The authorities can use it to ID your bike and would be buyers can LOOK out for that serial number along with a photo of your bike. Should a red/white S1 pops up somewhere cheap on eBay, craiglist or your local paper that fits the size and description of your bike, then you know something smells fishy, so keep an eye out. Hope you get her back man.

How about posting info, such as your location, size of the bike, serial # and such as well as pictures here and on other cyclist forums?
