    Differences between two soloists Team

Hello, I'm about to buy a Soloist Team. Please, which is the difference between these two models beside the color? (speking only about the frame and fork) Thanks in advance http://s-tec-sports.de/media/cases/cervelo_soloist_team_gross.jpg http://s-tec-sports.de/media/cases/cervelo_soloist_tea_big.jpg

The first one, gross.jpg, is the 2007 colour. It is dark grey.

The second one, big.jpg, is the 2006 (and I think 2005) colour. It is black.

     Otherwise the frames are identical.

The 2007 and newer Team Soloist's front deraileur mount were modified slightly for compatibility with compact crank sets. Also, 2007 models and newer come standard with a dual position carbon fiber seat post (uh-oh gregg66......CARBON!) whereas the 2005-06 came with a dual position aluminum seat post (gregg66 approved!). The 2005 and 2006 came in black (and also a limited release Team color) whereas 2007 was gun metal grey. Both are awesome bikes especially for the price.

Ha-ha! You know me: I only have an aversion to carbon stems and bars. And stem faceplates. And I've broken a few carbon cages too...

Just at the moment I have a terrible noise coming from the my Soloist. I think its the SLR saddle dying on me. It sounds like a piece of plastic or metal flipping from a concave to a convex shape - get it on rough terrain, whether seated or out of the saddle. When in the saddle though, I can feel something moving under me in a "if this breaks I'm not going to be smiling for a long time" kind of way.

BTW, I have an 06 which came with a carbon dual position post. It was sourced from Germany. I wonder whether there were regional variations to the spec. Now I think about it, it can only be the carbon seatpost that's the problem ... I knew it!

Actually, that seatpost is so damned chunky I reckon I could take down a burglar with it. I'm pretty sure my annoying noise is the saddle rails playing in their anchor points on the saddle.

Isn't there still a limited release team colour? Red & grey, IIRC?
