Roobay, WOW, Awesome set of bikes! Can you compare your experience of the ride quality and performance of the Cervelo R3 vs the Parlee Z4. I own the 2008 R3-SL and I've been very curious about that Parlee Z4. Thanks a lot.

My new ride, it was great fun deciding what components to fit but it is even better to ride. 7.2 kg as pictured.

OK, here's mine... Got the frameset over a month ago and mostly swapped the existing trim over from my previous TT rig (only a couple new replacement parts/upgrades in the process), but had a variety of unrelated conflicts so it took until last weekend to finally get it out for the maiden ride.  Still need to dial in the position a little better for comfort over longer events, but already lowered my previous best mark on one of the local timed loops (by almost a minute over a little less than 40K) even with the training wheels/tires and without the full-on TT kit (no aero helmet, shoe covers, etc).  "Aye, she's fast, Captain!"

Mike, What wheels do you have on that beauty? Also, how do you like the Arione saddle? Have you had that saddle before or is this your first Arione? The bike looks great mate.

    Re: Picture of your Cervelo

Size is a 58.  I considered a 56 (I'm 6-1 w/ 34" inseam) but decided on the 58 to raise the front end up a little higher, w/ a shorter stem to offset the extra reach.  Even w/ that, it's still a little lower in front than my previous TT ride... no doubt it's faster, but it's taking a little getting used to the extra strain in the glutes & hammys from bending down more.

Wheels are older, pre-dimpled Zipp 404's (sorry, Redcorn) w/ the decals removed.  I weigh ~175 and have toasted a few wheels over the years, but I'm usually pretty careful and haven't had any problems w/ these yet, only using them for races.  Got a good deal on them after the dimpled versions came out, otherwise ~$2K wheels just ain't in the cards for me.  I'm looking at a cheaper/lighter conventional-build Al-rim wheel w/ a disc cover to put on the rear for flat races next.

Had the Arione less than a full season so far; it's actually the Tri 2 model w/ the extra nose padding.  Prior to that, I rode the SLR T1.  Kinda mixed on the two... I like the extra length and "flatter" (less sculpted) shape of the Arione, good for scooching fore/aft on the fly to adjust slightly for fatigue and/or variations in wind/terrain.  On the minus side, it's not as forgiving on my sit bones; the T1 was definitely softer, especially up forward on the nose, but then the trade-off was most of the time in the mid-position the nose felt too wide so I was either pedaling "bowlegged" or rubbing too much.  I realize engineering both extra cush and narrow profile are somewhat exclusive, so the quest for perfection continues...

Hi guys I have two bikes for you to look at but it's difficult to post them here1 I'll work it out if I can be bothered to do so ......probably not! Anyway I own a P3C with Corima Aeros, FSA bars & stem Selle Italia saddle and full Camapagnolo Record groupset. This bike is amazing I have smashed all my PB's on it ! The R3SL was bought on the back of my impressions of the R3SL.  I have just taken possession of a R3SL with Campy Hyperon wheels , Record g/set and Supergood kit at 6.5Kg. When I work out thr pictures thing I will post the pictures

If you use a free online picture host like www.imageshack.com they will give you a link to post here in the forums so your pictures will show. Here are the steps.

    1. Sign up with www.imageshack.com It is free. www.photobucket.com is another one.

    2. take your picture with your camera and load it to your harddrive and remember where the picture is.

    3. Open Imageshack or photobucket with your internet browser and tell it to upload your picture with the resize it to forums option. The picture will be uploaded to imageshack or photobucket and several different links will be given to you.

    4. Open a post here on these forums and look for the button that has a tree picture, its the only one that is green where you can do spell check and such when you are opening your message, it will ask for a html link which imageshack has given you, just clip and paste link that imageshack has, the one that says direct html link into that slot and you are done.

OK ... Its not about what you have, but what you do with it. My bike is a humble ST, and my marriage would probably never survive a fancy finishing kit. But, boy, does that bike spoil me. Here are some pictures of our outing this long, summer evening. Let's see more of where and what you ride!

    We started  by the seaside:

     And then climbed

     and climbed

until we were rewarded with a view, followed by a screaming descent back to sea-level.

Good idea, DeepCover on posting pics of where we ride. I'm guessing some of the pics should have our Cervelo in it since this is a Cervelo site. Maybe you should start  a new thread of Pictures of Where you Ride with the pics you just posted. I'm sure everyone will post to it.
