Ok, I'll ask, why the dual seatpost in the forward position?

It makes things easier riding in the aero position. Note the aero bars.

I have an RS and have always been 'curious' about aero bars.....do you have to change anything regarding fitting when you add aero bars?  If you have your riding position without aero bars perfect, are you going to have 'adjust' saddle height and/or fore/aft position or adjust bar height/rotation, etc. etc.?

Depends on how you intend to use them... I've had aero bars on a regular roadie before, too.  If you want to maximize the aero benefit for Tri/TTs, then you'll need to rotate your upper body position lower/flatter by moving the seat forward (which usually also means adjusting the height/tilt to compensate).  But, I've seen aero bar set-ups on long-distance tours as well, maybe partially for efficiency but more to relieve some of the pressure on the hands and resulting shoulder/neck strain by allowing you to put the weight on your elbows/forearms part of the time.  In that case, you don't necessarily want to change your pedaling position, but you'd likely need to raise/shorten the stem to decrease the reach to the elbow/forearm pads.

tridawg, what size is your carbon soloist?

The Soloist is a 58 and I use it primarily for Triathlons.  I have a seperate base bars / aero brake and use the clip on and add bar end shifters for some tris.  I have the seat post in the forward position and keep it there most of the time as I have become comfortable in that setup.

I slapped on some white handle bar tape. I'm curious if it cleans easily. I'm sure I'll find that out tomorrow.

I'm waiting for my matching Pro Race 3's to come in. :)

Fizik white tape is the only tape I use because it lasts a long time and doesnt absorb oils and stains. It will wipe off clean. Michelin Pro 3 tires are awesome they are my favorite clinchers.

And that's exactly why I picked up the Fiz tape. I read it cleans up nicely and it's pretty tough tape. I'll use some diluted Simple Green to clean it up when the times comes and see how that works.

I've got the Pro 2's which I really like. Can't wait to try out the 3's.

I'm pretty interested to hear how easy it is to keep that tape clean, and how comfortable it is. I'm using some Deda gel stuff, which is super-comfy.

I've never been able to change a tyre without ending up with black hands. Unless it was vinyl, I can't see how white tape would survive the ride after that.
