Strange, when I went to my local LBS (probably the biggest dealer in Southern California - they sell a lot of Cervelos) to get an S5 frame, I was told that I would have to wait months for the base or the Team but that the VWD was available. They could also get the base or Team in a full bike spec, but I didn't want to deal with stripping off all the components and selling them off. So I ended up buying a slightly used frame. Once I found out that I could not easily get an S5 base or Team frame, I stopped by a local try shop, which also sells a lot of Cervelos (admittedly more of the P series), just to see if they by chance had any S5s lying around. They didn't, but checked with Cervelo and confirmed what by LBS had told me - that only the VWD was immediately available. So I would think that those who are waiting for a VWD frame should see them soon - actually, not sure why you wouldn't have your frame sets/bikes already, as this was about 2 weeks ago.

My dealer stil has no news, the distributor too, the french distributor expected some delivery in 10 days but not sure, I try to contact Cervelo but nothing

If they continue like that I will receive a 2012 S5 VWD Framset in 2013 at 2012 Price.

why order an original cervelo GT1, you can find a copy less expensive in China ?

Why order a VWD anyway, frame only being almost 50 % more expensive ?

I heard the first batch of S5 VWDs was small due to low forecasting from dealers, and sold out "immediately." Sounds like that's the batch where "shipment will start in the next 60 days".

Now we're waiting for the next (larger) batch I guess.

Still no news.... after a mail from Cervelo 80 days ago that shipment will start in the next 60 days

Dealers have no news ...

Distributors for France and Benelux have no news ...

Cervelo gives no news ...

Only 1 or 2 bikes available in the world

Did you received any news about S5 VWD ??? I made my order in September

RIght, VWD hasn't been released yet AFAIK.

I also heard the Base and Team S5s have been in high production but still didn't meet demand, and they've been essentially continuously selling through (sold out?) since the S5 launch last summer.

Many of you write about their VWD model, but even I know Cervelo said the VWD wouldn't be available before late March (earliest). I am talking about the base model (white), which you can see all around the www, but is yet to be seen in size 58 (which I ordered). Off course certain markets are delivered earlier than others and certain framesizes are available later due to their "awkward" size, but hey; 58!! That is a very common size. Might there be a problem with the production and would delivery take several weeks or even months longer I would like to know rather than being told a delivery time which is postponed and than a new, postponed, new delivery time, postponed, etc. Also, no reply from the importer and a reply without an answer or solution from Cervelo is anoying. 3 Weeks now went into its 21st (and counting)........

Hello all,

There was a string here a few weeks ago that suggested orders in Europe were delayed for frames ordered in September. I ordered a team S5 in December and LBS told me yesterday I can pick it up Monday. I am in Utah, U.S. I am not sure if geography is the reason or a production delay last fall when Cervelo was looking for finace.

I ordered my S5 VWD in late October. Nothing yet. I'm getting a "Maybe March" now from my LBS.

I recently placed an order for a VWD (51cm), I'm being told delivery early April. Hopefully the new Red gruppo will be readily available by then :)

Unfortunatley not VWD - im just a peasant with the base model..........maybe next year though !!! lol

I have managed to get a pair of the FFWD LTD wheels to go on though........
