    Pictures of Where you Ride

    I figured I'd start this..

Since we have Cervélo owners all over the world, why not share pictures of where you ride or race? You might as well include a picture of your bike in at least one picture since this is a Cervélo site.

Let's make this an active thread.

     I'll get this one started.

Lone Pine, CA. Great views and open highways. 80 degrees at 9am and 124 degrees after 1pm. Luckily, I wasn't riding  after 1.

     ----

This was one of ten camps in the U.S. where Japanese American citizens and resident Japanese aliens were interned during World War II.

    ----

    Military Police Post at Manzanar.

Stunning photos, when I imagine riding in the States that's exactly how I picture it, big skies and roads going on forever.

I didn't take this picture but its of Richmond Park in South West London. Its where you'll see me any plenty of other Cervelo riders each weekend, I'll try and post something with my bike in it at some point ;)

Thanks mism, Unfortunately I've ridden there only once since it's around 3 hours (driving) away. But I do have an organized century planned out there.

Hey seven.62, have you ridden Onion Valley Road from Independence? Bicycling mag listed it as one of the toughest climbs in the U.S. and the hardest over 10 miles. Am driving down that way in August and have considered giving it a try, though the temperatures sound beyond miserable.

BlancoR3, no, I haven't ridden Onion Valley Road. I wanted to ride it, but I didn't have time. Good thing though as I would have died, shriveled up and turned to dust in that heat. lol

But it's not always that hot though. Sometimes it pretty cold from what I was told.

What, it's only about a mile of vertical over 13 miles from Independence to the summit -- about an 8% net grade overall. (ha!)  Just think... if you could maintain a 6.5mph average (probably way optimistic), it'd be like grinding out 2 solid hours on a Stairmaster!  <shudder>

From a trip to Shenandoah NP, VA (USA) in March 2008.  A great place to ride, at least in the off-season (no cars)....

Heading to Bear Divide in Santa Clarita.

    ---

    ---

    A little warm.

    ---

Fun little downhill. Too short though. Around 6 miles or so.

    ---

    Heading back home.

    ---

I knew I was going to get a flat with the Vittoria's. I was on the bike path 1.5 miles from home.

Still no excuse for turning the bike upside down when you get a flat! Seriously, show a bit of style. You're also destroying your bars, ergo/stis and saddle..

Looks like he's got a baggie under the saddle and his gloves under the bars. Pretty resourceful.

Not when there is a chain link fence that you could quite easily hook either the bars or forks on avoiding a major faff. Turning your bike upside down is a major road cycling no no!

I'll remember to bring a chain link fence with the next time I'm out on an open highway if I ever flat out there too.
