@ Dax - I got a email this morning that my claim was denied. Cervelo said that he problem with my frame was essentially a "pre-existing condition" that I knew about when I bought it.

I think what got me going about this is for some reason I remember reading about the R series bikes being designed with the 3T post in mind, meaning that the R3 was meant to be ridden with the post that came with it because of inherent characteristics of carbon giving the post a little flex thus giving the bike a little different feel. Thanks for the reply. I'm not so concerned about weight, more the fit and ride quality. I've got an aluminum post on my other carbon bike and it's fine. I just was hoping a fellow Cervelo owner had some feedback about it but I think I'll just have to try it.

I'm just wondering if any R3 owners out there have switched to aluminum post and could tell me if it changed the ride quality of the bike at all.
