  • Re: Warranty waiting time, 3 weeks??

Yup that is what I intend on doing. I told the dealer that I understand. I was just bummed with Cervelo's response time and reasoning.

Sure... On my R3 Team there is a divot on the right side of the top tube near the junction of the top tube and head tube. It's fairly deep, deep enough to feel with your finger. In all honesty I did indeed just notice it a few weeks ago. Sorry but when I ride I stair at the road and not my bike. The only reason I brought it to the ...

  • Re: Warranty waiting time, 3 weeks??

@ Dax - I got a email this morning that my claim was denied. Cervelo said that he problem with my frame was essentially a "pre-existing condition" that I knew about when I bought it.

@DAX - I'm pretty curious myself. I'll let everyone know what happens. @David - I just replied to your message. Thanks for helping out.

  • Warranty waiting time, 3 weeks??

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had to deal with a long wait time just to get an answer on a warranty claim? I had thought that Cervelo was pretty timely or has that changed since the takeover from PON? The shop I used said they haven't gotten a reply from Cervelo since they submitted my claim and it's been almost 3 weeks. That ...

http://www.cervelo.com/en/bikes/r-series/road-bikes-r5.html I'm not sure if everyone is seeing what I'm seeing but at $46,399 for just a frameset...I'd get the 2012 model if you can....

  • Re: Anybody tried a R3 with an aluminum post?

I think what got me going about this is for some reason I remember reading about the R series bikes being designed with the 3T post in mind, meaning that the R3 was meant to be ridden with the post that came with it because of inherent characteristics of carbon giving the post a little flex thus giving the bike a little different feel. Then again ...

  • Re: Anybody tried a R3 with an aluminum post?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not so concerned about weight, more the fit and ride quality. I've got an aluminum post on my other carbon bike and it's fine. I just was hoping a fellow Cervelo owner had some feedback about it but I think I'll just have to try it.

  • Anybody tried a R3 with an aluminum post?

I'm just wondering if any R3 owners out there have switched to aluminum post and could tell me if it changed the ride quality of the bike at all. I'm having trouble getting my saddle in the right spot with the 3T post (with setback) and am thinking of switching to a Thomson (less setback). Just looking for any input if anyone's ...
