I am surrounded by hills and want a bike that will climb like a mountain goat. With all the different Cervelo frame types to choose from, which one would be considered the best climbing bike?
R3SL is the bike you want for heavy long climbs but any of the R3, RS series will climb good.

We just updated our bike gallary on our website for those who might want to browse some of the builds we did this summer. mostly cervelos that were frame up builds, sometimes extravagant, sometimes simple, but either way built up from the frame for how the customer wanted it.

You should have a job at Cervelo designing their paint schemes they really need help especially the 09 paint schemes and patterns.
Just built out the frame. What do you suggest using to protect the frame where the cables touch
Thanks
Jagwire tube tops are really good for protecting your frame where the cables hit them. Soft rubber and slide right on without cutting anything.

To be honest I have not tried it. It should work since the spacing is so close that it should not matter. I know the Dura Ace 7800 worked with my Record shifters and Sram ...

Even if that is not structural which it looks like it is, I would not ride that and would contact Cervelo Customer Service. Both those are frame warranty issues. No ...

I noticed some cracks in my 08 R3 at the head tube and bottom bracket. First the head tube. These occur where the metal cup for the headset race is bonded to the frame. The paint is cracked for about 30mm radially about the headset. The crack looks like it could be caused by the flexing of the bonding between the ...

Thanks Redcorn. I truly appreciate your detailed feedback. Really doesn't make my decision any easier however. I was leaning towards FSA because the 38 would give me a little lower gearing. I think the 52 would work for me. In reality, I feel a 52/36 would be the perfect gearing for ...
