    Cervelo Soloist Team 2008 Headset Issues

    Hi I have a Cervelo Soloist Team 2008 Aluminium frame (red and grey/ silver I need to buy a headset for it. I have been told I need a cane creek headset but which one? I have had a look on several sites but no joy, can anyone send me a link to one please? Also the seat post in my bike is supposed to turn around into a tri position, I have removed the bolt on the back but no movement...is there something else I should do or does anyone have one for sale. I have been quotes $150!! that I am not willing to pay Thank you

    Nice bike!

    You need basically any "IS" (Internal Standard) headset. Cane Creek makes IS2, IS3, IS4, etc. and they have better materials with higher number, but the IS describes the fit to the frame.

    The other standard is Campagnolo's standard. The diameter is half a millimeter (!) different, and the angle of the conical seat might be different too, not sure.

    IS is the more common one, so just about any headset will "probably" work.

    FYI, same standard as common Trek aluminum frames, thousands of those sold, so should be lots of spares to choose from.

    You might not have the reversable seat post. That's the one that turns around.

    The headset bearings required for 2008 R3: FSA part number 160-6746 They are ACB 36x45d #873 6mm 1.125 top and bottom The carbon fiber top is Part Number: H2415
