Convert a One to a road bike

Very broad question but how much work and what components need to be swapped out or am I better off to buy a new road bike. Trying to stay basic nothing fancy.  Plan to buy a new P3.

Drop bars and shifters.  Maybe a different length stem for fit.  What components do you have on it now: double/triple & 8,9, or 10 speed?  You would need shifters with the same gearing

I would say buy a road bike. New 2012 R3's are available for $2100 which is a great deal.

They have the P2 and S2 at the same price.

The P3 has different geometry (Lower)  which is only be appropriate to some folks-The P2 for example puts me in a superior position over the P3. I can afford either.

As far as converting one to a road bike, I personally wouldn't do it (unless that was your only option) since the geometry is so different, and in my experience, the frame is much less laterally stiff.

    Hope this helps.

Apparently Google Chrome (which I use) leaves the "jumbled mess" too.
