    Mavic Ksyrium SLS or Elite

Hey Everyone, I'm trying to decide on a solid training wheelset and I'm debating between the Mavic Ksyrium SLS or Elite. Is the SLS worth the extra cost? I noticed the Garmin Sharp team training on the Ksyrium Elite wheels, so I figure they must solid. Any experience, tips, pros and cons would be really appreciated. Cheers

For your consideration. Also, read the comment following the article: http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/01/10/just-in-boyds-new-wider-deeper-stiffer-more-aero-altamont-road-wheels/

The SLS are lighter by about 80-100gr have better spokes and hubs than the Elites. Spoke count if I recall is also lower. Does it worth the extra cost? It depends on your budget... For me it was worth the extra $$$ as I got a good deal on the SLS and knew that buying the elite would be to a compromise (assuming you are not replacing wheels every year) - these are my go to wheels (I have the R500 too) but I don't really switch between wheels. On the other hand if the elites are good enough for a pro team to train... I think they are good enough for the amateur racer/weekend worrier. As I said, it all boils down to your budget.
