    2018 R3 seatpost

I like to rotate my saddle a bit to the left. It's hard to tell, but in the pics I've seen, it looks like the seatpost on the 2018 R3 has a flat section in the back that won't allow it to be rotated in the frame. Is this the case?

    Re: 2018 R3 seatpost

Just by the images on the Cervelo site, it definitely looks like there's a flat trailing side on the seatpost that corresponds to the seat tube shape. Probably will not allow for any rotation when inserted or especially when tightened. You might want to visit a Cervelo dealer to make sure. There could be a way to rotate seat at the top of the seatpost? The new R2 still looks to have a round seatpost.

    Re: 2018 R3 seatpost

Hi bigmatt, The R2 and R3 use round seatposts (Performance, SP19), only the R5 has the truncated seatpost (SP18) which cannot be rotated. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback Jakes! I assume the S3 seatpost clamp does not rotate...

@Jakub -- Any feedback/info on the differences between the 2018 R2 and R3 frames? Looking for info and wondering if the frames are the same as previous year models or have things changed up for 2018/ Thanks in advance. Dipper

    Re: 2018 R3 seatpost

Hey dipper, The R2 and R3 share the same frame shape (same molds) but differ in carbon layup (and spec of course). They both have our updated SquovalMax tube shapes and revised handling geometry which we released with the R5 last year, and are definitely quite different in ride feel and handling than previous 2015 R3 and R2 frames. As we did with the S series, the R5 has longer / lower frame geometry than the R3 and R2 (which are the same) Cheers,
