Anyone try to migrate the new Synchro Di2?

Does anyone have any feedback on the new Synchro Shift Di2? I had a 2016 R3 but with the old battery, so I wondered if it was worth upgrading to get the synchro switch enabled. I'm curious about the semi-automatic mode where it will change a few gears in the rear to compensate for a shift up front. https://www.google.com.vn/

Hi, I have it running on my P3. Works well. I did have to upgrade the batter mount to work with the EW-WU111. You only use the shifter for the rear derailleur in normal riding once active. Say you are riding along, big ring and start changing down as you climb a hill. When you get to the second biggest gear on the rear cassette, the Garmin beeps and displays a message indicating that the chainring will be changed next shift. When you make that shift, the chain drops into the small ring and the rear drops 2 gears smaller on the cassette. Then you keep going until you're in 36/25 (or whatever you easiest combo is). Going the other way, when it gets to (I think) the 15T cog, Garmin beeps etc., and then the next shift puts you back into the big ring and the rear goes to the 19T cog. You can configure when this happens too using the iPhone app (there's probably an Android app too), but I've just gone with the defaults...I like it. Cheers

I'm running 8050 and really like the semi synchro setting for smoothing gear transitions when I shift the FD. Not really a fan of full synchro, but perhaps if I take the time to adjust the shifting map, I will.

I would get the BT-DN110. Synchro is nice to have and it's simple to select any of the three modes while on a ride.

I realliy like synchro shift on my MTB (XT Di2). I didn‘t really like it on my R5 Disc, so I turned it back to manual then. Anyway, I‘d recommend to upgrade your battery and add the EW-WU111 (BT and ANT+ interface) to use the hidden buttons on the hoods for controlling your bike computer (works perfectly well wirh my Garmin).
