    2009 R3...useful life

Hi All, I am the happy owner of an R3 which has been relegated as training bike and commuter for a number of years. I think I put around 100000 km on this bike. Serviced it every year, etc. Well looked after. At the most recent service the mechanic said that he can see some cracks inside the BB shell and that in 1-2 years I will need to replace the bike as it reached its useful life. There are some paint (?) cracks on the outside of the BB on the drive side, not long but visible. He said that it is safe to ride but at some point it will develop a creaking noise and it will get worse over time. This has nothing to do with the actual BB bearings (which get replaced every year). Can this be fixed? Glued? Ot will it be honoured by the lifetime Cervelo warranty?

Carbon does not have a expiry date it is does not deteriorate the with age. It always stays the same. If there cracks inside the frame. Cervelo should warranty it if your the original owner. If the frame is fine. Just ride and enjoy it. No need to replace it due to age
