Read this on the other forum, too. First I couldn't believe it, but Damon replied that is like that. Personally I met him 2013 and he was so kind to listen to my thoughts about the S evolution and gave me of his time during the Eurobike exhibition. Thanks a lot to Damon for his affords to make riders faster and the thrilling bikes, especially for my next one .. oSo >>

Wow just wow! The man is and I don't just say this a genius. I met and rode with him at the 2014 beyond the forum event. And we did not even let him eat his dinner the moment he walked in we had a million questions for 2 days. He never complained never asked for a break and never did not provide a sound well informed answer. Where ever he goes I wish him nothing but the best and than you for making things "faster easier" all the best sir

I saw his post about not having a new job yet. The timing leaving after finishing the S5 makes me think he put everything into the S5 for a long time and just needs a break. Amazing guy!

i too will miss Damon because among other things he was responsive to questions and replied with sincerity. Prior to Cervelo, he was at Trek's Advanced Concept Group for about 7 years. He was with Cervelo for about 6 years. In both cases, he left with a note to the public indicating his desire for a new experience. It will be interesting to see where that new experience will be. Best of luck to him.

wow what a loss to Cervelo. He always seems to have an honest answer to all questions no matter what the angle they came from. I hope where ever he goes next appreciates his talents! As Cervelo owners we have reaped the benefits! Good Luck Damon! sorry to see you go, while anxious to see what you do next. Cannondale could probably use your talents........

In my opinion, Damon Rinard is not just a great engineering mind, but one of the most charismatic people you will ever meet.  Those talents combined have made him a figure at Cervélo over the years that will be very hard to replace.  On top of that, he is a very fast and talented rider, so don't let him get a gap on you. ; - )  I have no doubt that some of his ideas will carry on at Cervélo despite his departure.  Who knows, there may be unknown projects in the works with his fingerprints all over it... we can only hope... all the best Damon!

I too will say he was just such an extremely approachable person. Really enjoyed our interaction with Damon when in California. And I just missed him at a couple of different shops while I am down here in the Phoenix area.

Thanks for contributing to such great bikes during your time at Cervelo Damon and for your help here on the forum over that time.  It was really nice meeting you in CA and sharing the road.  Best of luck in where life takes you from here.  I hope to see you again someday and share a ride with you.
