    Seatpost S3 slipping

My seat post keeps slipping a few mm every ride. Cleaned the seat post, carbon paste, cleaned the wedge, correct torque,... (seat post has no damage whatsoever). What can I do to solve this problem????

Have you tried carbon paste around the wedge? My slippage always seemed to involve the wedge rising up 1-2 mm. I also sprayed the non visible part of the seat post with matt paint (3very thin coats) plus paste. I still have slip but it’s very slow, less than 1mm per ride.

Mine slipped on 1st ride after purchase (shop set it up) I pulled it out & put additional carbon paste on and gave it 1 extra Nm of torque (6Nm) and it has stayed put now. But it creaks whilst putting in any effort whilst sitting on the saddle or going over some bumps in the road surface...which is really annoying!

    Hey wannabefast,

You may want to increase the torque to 8Nm as per the manual. I am not surprised you would experience slipping at 5Nm or possibly 6Nm.

Here are the Torque specs for your reference:

    Seatpost Clamp (frame to seatpost)

    · Carbon TT rear-bolt - 4 Nm (P5)

    · Wedge Clamp (Rounded Front) - 8 Nm (S2, S3, S3 Disc, S5, P2, P3, P5X)

    · Wedge Clamp (Square Front) 10 Nm (T4)

    · 27.2mm Collar 6 Nm (R2, R3, R5, Rca, R3 Disc, C3, C5)
