    2018 R3 seatpost slipping

Hi folks. My new R3 is back at the LBS after just a handful of rides as the seatpost is slipping. It drops 20-30mm over a few kms. It's a lovely bike but it is driving me mad! I've cleaned and repasted that post, torqued it up nicely but no luck. I never had any such issues with my R2s, anyone had the same with the new R3? Allan

I do not have an R3 but I had a similar issue on one of my MTBs. Check the screw of your seatpost clamp for any dirt or any scratches in its thread which could result in resistance. In my case the resistance in the seatclamp screw was strong enough to make the torque meter click even though the clamping force wasn't nearly high enough to hold the seatpost in place when I put my weight on it.

Thanks, it is looking more complicated than that, we are waiting for a warranty claim to go through
