    Butch:
Nice S3... like the 303's on it. Where did you take that picture... paved trail along the ocean? Wow.
Thanks Butch... pic was taken on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.

    Re: Picture of your Cervelo

Here is my new R2. If this years COR event has big hills... I will be ready! 13.85 pounds, Sram RED 22... Zipp bars, seat post and stem. FSA K Force Light 52/36 crank. (I have a 34 small gear ready) It has 1204 gram American Classic Magnesium 11 Speed clincher wheels.

This is the first bike I installed everything on. From running all new cables to installing the crank to tuning... I am glad I did not charge myself by the hour!!! But.. It was a lot of fun and I am happy with the result.

Wow. Love your R2 and how you've upgraded. The Zipp stem and bar, another wow! I have Sram Red on my Ridley NOAH, and have been considering it or Shimano Ultegra for the R2. 13.85 pounds is awesome. Well done!
2015 R2 serious fun (climbing) bike will be upgraded some to become just a hair lighter
Step 1: Lighter wheels... done! 1342g, down from 2000g
Step 2: Fabric Line 142mm saddle w/titanium rails

Nice job on the R2 build. There's nothing like building up your own bike! I'll bet it felt great. A bit of advice: your saddle looks like it tilted nose down. If this is comfortable it's likely that your saddle is too high. I had the same problem when I built my first bike.

Thanks! I noticed the saddle in the pictures also. It is the same height as my S3. I put the rails parallel to the ground. Possibly there was a shift or it was not as straight as I thought.

What's going on with that housing? Is it looped around your water bottle?

If it is typical of Chinese made, relatively inexpensive lights (things like MagicShine and all those cheap "tactical" flashlights come to mind) then it's probably only an honest 1500-2000 lm. Pretty punchy "hot spot" to it, but at least it does have some spill (i.e. you get some angle to the beam so you can see a bit to the side). Not my first choice for off-road (too narrow a beam), and maybe overkill for on-road....but I can see the appeal considering what $175 will get you from a "big name" light company.

My 2013 R3, rebuilt with Dura Ace R9100 shifters, Ultegra R8000 brakes and derailleurs with Ceramic Speed OPWS, Shimano BC-9000, OT-SP41 Red and Silver housings, Praxis 50/34 chainrings and new Ultegra R8000 11-30 cassette.

After 25000k+ it feels like a new bike.

Robg. I have the same bike. Do you know why there is red in your paint scheme and mine is white. Primarily the number 3 and the rings...yours are red and mine are white. Just curious
