  • 2018 Cervelo R5

Hello, considering buying the Cervelo R5 2018 which comes out if the box with Enve 3.4 carbon wheels, but NOT with the typical DT240 hub Enve usually mounts their wheels on, but rather a much cheaper version hub from Formula. Does anybody have an opinion on this specific Formula hub / Enve wheels combination ? Any of you had a chance to ride ...

I know that... What about the quality ? How would you compare it against Mavic, DT Swiss or others ? I can get a pair of these wheels take off from a 2017 S5 for $2000 USD. If I buy the Enve 3.4 wheels with a DT240, the price is $3000 ! What else is different ? A cheaper hub for $1000 less ? I don't get it.

  • Cervelo S5 2017 Enve 3.4 wheels

Hello all, looking to trade my current Cervelo R5 2014 for the new S5... It comes equipped with Enve 3.4 wheels but with a custom made hub for Cervelo. Does anyone have any idea about the hubs quality ? I am used to see DT240 on these wheels and I heard the one that comes on the custom S5 wheels are made in China and less ...

  • Re: Cervelo R5 Rotor 3D+ crankset

I strongly believe changing the crankset will fix the issue. I know two other people on S3 and S5 and they keep bringing their bike and the clicking issues always come back after a few hundred miles. Three emails sent to Cervelo Tech Support and not a single reply. I come from Trek, Colnago and Cannondale and never had in 20 years ...

Thank you... Never seen that document.. I am trusting the LBS know what they are doing since they have been selling Cervelo bikes for 8 years ! But very good point, I will print the document and bring it if I decide not to switch to DA.  I tried everything, including pedals, cleats and the cracking is terrible going uphill and putting ...

  • Cervelo R5 Rotor 3D+ crankset

Hello, I have been having issues of cracking and Tic Tic Tic as a clock on each pedal stroke since day one I bought this bike in February 2015. Sent several emails to Cervelo and looks like they can' t do anything. Visited several bike shops and nobody seem to have the expertise to fix the Rotor crankset noise. Whether it is ...

  • Re: Cervelo R5 Dura Ace Di2 2014

Yep, I know that... I just find it weird that Cervelo covers all the other Di2 holes with furnished rubber caps on all other tubes except this one ! Thanks anyway.

  • Cervelo R5 Dura Ace Di2 2014

Hello Cervelo fans,   Just bought the R5 2014 Dura Ace Di2 bike and I noticed there is an uncovered hole behind the vertical tube, on the right hand side near the front derailleur, which is to be used for wiring mechanical groupset. Of course I am not using that hole.    I was told by Cervelo engineers there was ...
