• Re: Di2 on an S3

Yup. Looks like I missed the part where you already stated that the seat tube is a practical alternative. I would assume the build to put it into the down tube entailed doing this prior to pressing in the BB. And if you needed to ever remove the battery you would have to remove the BB cups first. Not a tough job with the right tools.

You mean you can't drop it in from the top with the seatpost out?

  • Re: strange cassette issue

Yup. The Ultegra 6600 Rd was made before the widespread popularity of compact cranks. It has insufficient capacity. I have fixed this in a number of bikes in our club by changing out the Rd to an Ultegra 6700 Rd. It was redesigned with much bigger capacity. They are still available new on eBay and from some online sellers. Pretty cheap ...

That looks like an Ultegra 6600 fd and Rd.....is this correct? As well, please send pics of the small/small and big/big positions.

You are well within the capacity of a regular Ultegra Rd, so removing one link should fix this. Can you post a picture of the drivetrain in the big-big cross chain position. That will show how much room you have to shorten the chain.

Put the chain in the small/small combo and check if the Rd has no tension. Or take a picture and post.

  • Re: 2009 Cervelo S2 Bottom Bracket Removal

Get a bb wrench that has a square drive fitting. Clamp square drive in vice with BB fitting facing up. Place frame on fitting and ensure you are clear on correct direction to loosen bb, turn frame. This gives you huge leverage in these cases.
The frame alone will be light, very light, a smidge above the RCa ..
I don't think that's the case. It is apparently quite similar to previous r5.
