I'll remember to bring a chain link fence with the next time I'm out on an open highway if I ever flat out there too.
I would use a bush or a low tree branch to hang the bike from to repair the bike, if you can find one nearby.
I'd love to learn how to fix all these issues myself, would solve a lot of hassles - I'm slowly learning, can glue on singles, fix clinchers, change brake blocks and adjust brakes now, but BBs, wheel bearings, changing clusters are out of my league! • Re: Aerodynamic Question
Thanks Garfield that was the closest answer to what I was looking for. Not to sound rude but, my question was not whether or not the R3 was aerodynamic as compared to the Soloist or SLC (I get the concept there). I was asking whether or not the squoval was more aerodynamic than similar sized round ...

  • Re: Aerodynamic Question

A couple of years ago, Phil White had a seminar at a LBS in Toronto which I attended (I wish he do another one soon). From what I remember, he said the aerodynamic of the squoval wasn't that bad, but not what a SLC would be. He says, if you take a horizontal line through the down tube, the cross section would be oval and if ...

  • Re: Noise, noise, noise only when I Pedal....

I got a R3 SL recently and started to hear some noise too. It was happening in the 11 to 17 gears though. I first thought it was chain rubbing the front derailleur that wasn't the case. My LBS thought it was the BB and upgraded me to a full ceramic BB from the Hybrid Red (I really didn't want to pay the extra ...

I use these mirrors on my R3 SL: http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/16350-235_RTBST7-3-Parts-705-Bar-Ends/Retrobike-Sprintech-Road-Bar-End-Mirrors.htm I like to see what's behind me easily. I don't want to become a hood ornament. Sorry, how do I get the link to work?

  • Re: Opinions on a Good Lock

Maybe consider this lock: http://www.targus.com/ca/product_details.asp?sku=PA400C Granted you can cut this easily, but if cut it will sound the alarm. Also, you can set it so it will go off after a short delay (for you to unlock it) if there is any motion. At 5.9oz, a lot lighter than u locks.
