  • Re: Selling my Cervelo RS :(

Its a black 56 CM frame. Here are some photos of when it was new. I've since changed the handlebars to FSA K Wing Compact. Otherwise it is as in these pics. The seat doesn't look so new anymore. http://www.grandprixsw.com/2008/photos/CerveloRS/content/ealy_NewBike__DSC1602_large.html

  • Selling my Cervelo RS :(

Due to injuries and getting older I've decided to sell my road bike (the bike was never crashed). It is a 2009 Cervelo RS w/Campy Chorus 11 and Eurus wheels. Is it ok to post ads here? Any suggestions for places to put the ad (other than Ebay/Craigslist)? Thanks, Derek

  • Re: Wheelset upgrade for 2011 RS?

I went with Eurus wheels. Originally I wanted the Shamals but there was a delay at the time and I was impatient so I got the Eurus. They're pretty nice wheels, and I got them at a really good price by buying them in Europe and having them shipped here. You can see how they look on my older RS ...

  • Re: Chainsuck protection?

You know I had thought of trying the helicopter tape and the lizard skins leather carbon protectors before independently. I wasn't at all sure that the helicopter tape by itself would be strong enough. And I was worried about the glue on the lizard skin protectors not being strong enough to keep it in place if the chain jammed itself in their. ...

  • Chainsuck protection?

Hi I have a nice RS that I love. The one thing that has always bugged me about it is that Cervelo didn't provide it with a metal protector on the chainstay for the time the chain inevitably gets sucked up into the chainstay. I've had this bike for 2 years now, and it has happened I guess 3 times, luckily never when I was standing or ...

  • Re: Smashed into the garage...ugh :-(

Well I disassembled the bike this afternoon and couldn't find any cracks anywhere. I was very happy, but then I brought the bike into the direct sunlight and found a small thin scratch on the headtube. This is right where the cables touch the head tube, then I looked on the other side and found another one, though they're not symmetrical. ...

No I still feel like crap   Though it really makes me wonder what the hell are the bike designers thinking about that they can't put a stupid piece of metal at the contact points where the chain will hit the frame when this happens. I've been using a chain catcher since I first got my bike. But don't see how that would ...

  • Re: Smashed into the garage...ugh :-(

I haven't had a chance to disassemble the bike yet, but I got to look at it closely in good light before going to work. So far there appears to be no damage. It looks like the brake levers acted kinda like shock absorbers. They rotated inwards on the bars, and the bars themselves are rotated to one side a bit. I'll have to see what the ...

  • Smashed into the garage...ugh :-(

My ride tonight went from bad to worse. Things started off kinda slow, and then I wasn't feeling well during my ride. My legs felt ok, but my stomach just wasn't doing so great this evening. I finally finished the ride and put the bike on top of the car and headed home. On arriving home, somehow my mind just wasn't in the right place. ...

  • Re: Picture of your Cervelo

I don't know if there's something in particular about the S2 or S3 that would cause shifting issues because of the internal routing, but Campy housings are pretty high quality stuff. I've been running Chorus 11 speed on my RS for 10 months now with no real issues. Adjusting derailleurs is a bit delicate with the difference between ...
