  • Re: Anyone try to migrate the new Synchro Di2?

I'm running 8050 and really like the semi synchro setting for smoothing gear transitions when I shift the FD. Not really a fan of full synchro, but perhaps if I take the time to adjust the shifting map, I will. I would get the BT-DN110. Synchro is nice to have and it's simple to select any of the three modes while on a ride.

The 8050 system would include the latest battery BT-DN110. This newer battery has increased memory space to allow for increased memory space required for bluetooth operation. The battery itself does not transmit or receive any ANT+ or BT signals. Xriss is correct in regard to the need for the EW-WU111 D-Fly wireless unit to connect wireless ...

  • Re: Di2 on an S3

Hey Don, As Wes mentioned, just wrap the battery in foam and place it in the seat tube. I have been running the battery like this in my 09 S2 for a couple of years w/o issue. Additionally, if you travel at all, it is easier to remove your seat post w/o messing with that cable connections. Alternatively, the internal battery can be placed in your ...

  • Re: Cable Too Tight??

Was the shifter paddle single clicked enough times to fully release the cable so the DR would be on the smallest cog?

Was the cable fully released from the shifter when you started?

  • Re: Noisy drivetrain

From the rear perspective video, it seems your RD cable tension may be a little high. It could be the perspective of the camera, but as is, looks high to me.  Start on the small cog and back off the tension. increase tension just enough to get a clean shift to the second cog. Back off you high limit a little. Proper Shimano RD adjustment ...

I have been riding with Bontrager Race Lite Aero's. Aluminum, internal cable routing and can be had for under $90.00. I've been happy with them to date. Cable routing takes patience but not terrible and certainly makes the front end more ...

  • Re: Noisy drivetrain

bobbob,  I assume you have the long cage variant of the RD? Which cog has been identified as the culprit? Is the chain the correct length? B screw set correctly? I would start from scratch and reset the RD. Disconnect the cable, turn the cable adjuster(s) in and then back out one turn. Check and adjust limit screws. Reconnect cable and ...
